A Different Way In.
With the current research on psychedelic medicines and how they may treat mental illnesses, many are turning to this path for relief, experimentation or growth. It is an exciting time for this field of research as worldwide investigations are looking at psychedelics for the treatment of anxiety, depression, addiction, PTSD and more.
Working with psychedelics can offer a different experience and view of oneself. This can lead to unique insights and changes. It is not for everyone, but for those who are called to it, it can be a different door to enter your psyche, learn about yourself and make shifts in your life.
Encounter Your Inner Wisdom.
A number of psychological theories say that we all have a part of us that is wise, knowing and intuitive. This part of us will go towards balance, healing and wholeness. It somehow knows where to go and what to do. In psychedelic assisted psychotherapy, this is the part of you that is being revealed and explored in the altered states of consciousness.
Psychedelic Integration.
I offer psychedelic integration sessions in my therapy practice. Integration sessions are to support those who have taken psychedelic medicines in either clinical, underground, ceremonial or recreational settings. These sessions are intended to support an increased understanding of what you may have experienced. Together we make meaning of the lessons you may have learned.
If you have taken psychedelics, you know they can offer a full range of experiences, sometimes glorious and beautiful, sometimes hard, even traumatic. Frequently, the tough stuff has a hidden significance or powerful meaning. Integration work with me helps you to sort the experience into the pearls of wisdom. Additionally, a difficult journey can be even harder if we are or feel alone in it. Integration can break up those feelings of aloneness, as you share your struggle with me and together we decipher it’s meaning to you.
Integration work is frequently short term, lasting 3-5 sessions. If you are looking for long-term therapy and want to do integration as part of this, you are welcome to work with me as well. Reach out to see if I have current openings. For more information on psychedelic therapy in California, see my FAQ’s here.
